Sand Hill Foundation was founded in 1995 by Tom and Susan Ford. In honor of our 30th Anniversary, we have created a retrospective timeline that captures key moments in the family foundation’s giving journey, philanthropic evolution, special initiatives, and strategy shifts. Eligibility
We champion the home-grown. To apply, your tax-exempt organization must work within our focus areas and dedicate 50% or more of your efforts towards the youth and families of San Mateo County as they navigate daily life with limited financial means.
Application Deadlines
Community needs do not have deadlines, so our foundation doesn’t either. We accept applications on a rolling basis which means anytime you want to apply, you are welcome to do so. Sand Hill Foundation partners with Pacific Foundation Services for grantmaking and operational support.
